A New Trend in Adultery Among Wives

Nowadays, a disturbing trend has emerged in marriages.

⤷ After getting married, a wife may either live normally in her in-laws' house or start fighting with them and begin collecting evidence of these disputes. She might also get pregnant while living with her in-laws or at her own home. After getting pregnant, she often leaves her in-laws' house and may never return. If she does return, she continues to fight with her husband and gathers more evidence before leaving again. She then files complaints against her husband and his family, accusing them of domestic violence, dowry demands, maintenance, and other issues.

⤷ The husband is often left confused and unaware of what is happening and tries to resolve the issue through discussions or community meetings, sometimes even involving his in-laws. The wife doesn't seek a divorce but demands maintenance. In some cases, she even threatens her husband to never let him see their child. The husband may doubt if the child is his but can't get permission for a DNA test for 2-3 years. During this time, he is obligated to pay maintenance.

⤷ This trend seems to be motivated by the desire to engage in adulterous relationships. Some wives engage in this behaviour to pursue relationships outside their marriage. This trend involves marrying someone deemed suitable by their parents, then leaving the husband to enjoy life with other men while still claiming maintenance for the child.

⤷ This trend is increasing not only in big cities but also in small villages.

⤷ Husbands find it difficult to file for divorce because the court often prioritizes the child's future.

⤷ In my opinion, it is important to marry someone whose family can be held accountable in such situations.

If you have witnessed similar cases, share your experiences and opinions in the comment box. Do you think it is time to create laws that support husbands in these situations?
